Who We Are

The church at Owens Cross Road Baptist has a genuine love for Jesus Christ. As Christ's ambassadors, we are a community of believers striving to share the love of Jesus by caring for each other and those in the community. We reach out to the local communities regardless of age, education or employment status.

We seek to build relationships that will mentor persons coming to Jesus Christ, growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord. All are encouraged to become involved in utilizing God's gifts within the church and assist in bringing others to a continued growth in God's love and ministry. Owens Cross Roads Baptist Church is a member of the Southern Baptist Convention, the Madison Baptist Association and support local, state, national and international missions. Our doors and hearts are open to all who wish to attend.

Pastor's Vision for the Church

My vision for this church is spiritual growth and biblical knowledge applied to each member's daily walk. This includes evangelism, families gathered together in Christian love, and continued involvement in community aid.  My vision includes a choir overflowing with people who love Jesus singing praises to Him.

Scriptures That Best Describe Our Mission

These scriptures from the word best reflect our mission for this church.

1 Corinthians 15:57-58 - "But thanks be to God which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord."

Matthew 28:19-20 - "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
